Kerry Mower

Kerry Mower has shorn sheep in New Mexico and Colorado for the last 25 years. He is one of very few professional blade shearers in the United States. Churro sheep account for nearly half of the sheep Kerry shears each year in New Mexico. Rambouillet, Suffolk and fine wool crosses are common breeds Kerry encounters along with many flocks of mixed breed sheep, angora goats, and camelids.

Kerry retired from New Mexico Department of Game and Fish in 2023 after working for 30 years as a field wildlife biologist. Kerry holds degrees in biology, zoology, and animal science. He is active in the fiber arts communities.
